Boran Craig Barber Engel Construction Co. Inc. recently was contracted to remodel four regional buildings. The projects include administrative space at Fleischmann Park, interior remodeling of Naples Community Development Building, site improvements at Naples Community Hospital and improvements to the Marco Shores wastewater treatment plant.BCBE is building out a 28,000-square-foot lot adjacent to Children's Medical Service at Naples Community Hospital's North Naples campus. Work should start this month and be completed in five weeks. The project includes site work, landscaping, concrete, lighting and installing irrigation systems. The concrete portion includes sidewalks and handicap tactile surfaces, and the electrical work includes new 30-inch, round fiberglass poles with concrete bases for site lighting. The lot will have space for approximately 60 vehicles.
A three-week interior remodel of the city of Naples Community Development Building has been completed. BCBE changed the layout of the existing area, replacing cubicles with walls to create new offices and more functional work space. Windows were also added to the office area.
Fleischmann Park contracted BCBE to add 576 square feet to its existing 7,828-square-foot skate park office, giving the park the ability to allow more children access to the facility. The office will be a concrete-block structure with storefront doors and windows topped by a metal roof. Once the addition is complete, the existing partitions will be relocated for a better work area for staff. A building-wide fire alarm system also will be installed which will allow the park to offer daycare services. The project is expected to take approximately two months to complete with a start date of early this month.
Marco Island's Marco Shores wastewater treatment plant on Mainsail Drive enlisted BCBE to fabricate and install four catwalks over four of its clarifier tanks. Placed 20-feet high, these catwalks will provide plant operators easy access to necessary valves. Each catwalk will be 35-feet long and three-feet wide with aluminum handrails flanking either side. The catwalks can withstand 135 mile per hour winds and the fiberglass grating walkways allow rainwater to flow through. The plant’s tanks are encased in concrete walls to which the catwalks will be attached. The project is expected to start this month with completion in six weeks.
